Sudan conflict: UK launches evacuation flights for British nationals

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has announced the evacuation of British nationals from Sudan in a tweet, which read: "We have started contacting nationals directly and providing routes for departure out of the country."

Military flights are due to depart from an airfield outside Khartoum, supported by diplomats from the Foreign Office, the government has said.
