Education minister Damian Hinds has defended the government's treaty with Rwanda that will allow authorities to send migrants to the central African country.

The agreement was signed after the Supreme Court ruled last month Rwanda was an unsafe country.

Mr Hinds said: "Rwanda is a safe country and I think there can be good opportunities actually for people going to that country.

"It's right, of course, the British government looks at the judgement from the Supreme Court and addresses the issues that it found. And that's what that's what's going on."
