Conservative MP and health minister Maria Caulfield says NHS waiting lists "are higher than we want them to be" as new NHS figures reveal missed targets and record A&E attendance numbers.

But she insists "we are turning a corner".

Figures show there were 2.35 million A&E attendances across England in March - the highest since records began in August 2010.
