NHS at 75: 'Waiting lists will go up before they start to come down', says Health Minister

The 7.4 million-strong list of people waiting for NHS treatment will increase in size before it falls, a health minister has said.

Maria Caulfield told Sky News the number "will go up before it comes down" - but she could not give a number.

She also insisted that the NHS will remain free "at the point of use".
