Shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson MP tells Sky News that "This is about what's right for the people of Israel and Gaza. The primary focus of this is not the Labour Party."

It follows calls from senior Labour figures, including the mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar and Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, putting pressure on the Labour leader over his decision not to push for a ceasefire in Gaza.
