Officials in Hawaii, including Governor Josh Green and Maui Mayor Richard Bissen provide an update on the wildfires.
Gov. Green said the fires are likely to be the largest natural disaster in the state’s history.
At least 53 people are dead and mass evacuations continue for visitors and residents. Dozens of people have been injured, and more than 270 structures have been damaged or destroyed. The Lahaina fire is now 80% contained.
