A-level results: Students across UK treated 'fairly', says exam regulator chief

Pupils in England were the most disadvantaged, with the share of exams graded A or above down by 9% compared to 2022. Students in Wales saw a 7% drop in top grades, while Northern Ireland saw a decrease of 6%.

Ofqual's chief regulator Dr Jo Saxton told Sky News pupils up and down the country have been treated "fairly" and "there have always been differences between regions".
