Sky News reports from Jerusalem for the latest on the Israel-Hamas war:

Israel's defence minister Yoav Gallant has told troops at the Gaza border they will soon see Gaza "from the inside", his office has said, in what appears to be a suggestion the ground offensive is nearing.

Israel had ordered over 1 million Palestinians to evacuate to the south ahead of its expected ground assault.

The country's military said at the weekend it was ready for a "significant" operation by land, sea and air, but did not say when the offensive would take place.

Also tonight, hundreds of residents in northeast Scotland at risk of flooding are to be evacuated as Storm Babet sweeps across the country.
