Family members of the father and son who were killed in a shooting at a high school graduation ceremony in Richmond, Virginia broke their silence. Delivering an emotional message about the character of 18-year-old Shawn Jackson and his father 36-year-old Lorenzo Smith.
Police said the suspected gunman targeted the 18-year-old graduate, whom he had a long-running dispute with.
Five other people were wounded by gunfire, and at least 12 more suffered other injuries or were treated for anxiety due to the mayhem, according to police.
