The government is under increasing pressure to reveal more details about the scale of the problems facing schools and other public buildings due to dangerous concrete.

The type of concrete forcing the closures is Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, known as RAAC.

But the problem goes much wider as RAAC concrete is used in public buildings from hospitals and courts to shopping centres.

Sky's Ali Fortescue has stressed residential properties could also be at risk with one expert comparing the potential threat to the cladding crisis.
