At a hospital in northern Gaza it has been claimed that 13 babies died of malnutrition in a single day last week amid fears the region could be on the brink of famine.

A Sky News camera team filmed inside the hospital, where some mothers are too undernourished to breastfeed their babies and medical treatment is being carried out by torchlight from mobile phones.

Aid agencies and world leaders have consistently warned of the risks of famine in the territory since war broke out on 7 October, but the UN has now said hunger in Gaza has reached "catastrophic levels".
