Graham Stuart MP, has said the alleged comments about Diane Abbott MP by Tory donor Frank Hester were "truly awful", but says he "welcomes those who contribute" to his party.

The minister for energy security and net zero also said that new gas-fired power stations are needed to "keep the lights on" - alongside wind and solar renewable sources.
