Satellite imagery captured a strong storm swirling across Ireland and the United Kingdom.

The storm made landfall with 80mph gusts, downing power lines, causing flooding; and, in one Irish town in Cork, a roof was ripped from a building; but forecasters have warned the worst is still to come.
