Unison members in 24 council areas are staging walkouts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Unite and GMB Scotland members now face the prospect of having to cross Unison picket lines.

A "significantly" improved pay offer is needed to end strike action that has closed schools across much of Scotland, a union chief has said.

Sky's Connor Gillies has spoken with classroom assistants, canteen workers, and cleaners who have walked out in a row over pay.
