Labour's deputy national campaign coordinator Ellie Reeves has told Sky News "people rightly want a general election" after 14 years of Conservative government.

She said she thinks the prime minister "should get on and call it for 2 May", despite him ruling it out.

Ms Reeves also spoke about the Tory donor racism row and backed calls for an inquiry into sexual abuse allegations in mental health wards following a Sky News investigation.
