Darren Jones, shadow chief secretary to the treasury, says David Cameron's appointment was probably "annoying to a lot of Conservative MPs who thought they would be good enough for a job in the cabinet".

Mr Jones said Suella Braverman's sacking was "right" and that he wished the Tories would "get a grip on the economy".
