Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ruled out any ceasefire or pause in the war - and suggested any such act would constitute "surrender to Hamas and terrorism".

Meanwhile, Israeli troops are pushing deeper into the Gaza Strip and the country's chief military spokesperson has warned military operations in the region "will escalate".

An evacuee fleeing northern Gaza tells Sky News: "There were no ambulances or emergency services to help those casualties there, all of them got killed - kids, youngsters, they all got martyred - nobody was alive."
