Overnight, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported at least three people were killed in an Israeli drone strike in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli troops shot dead two other Palestinians during earlier clashes in a refugee camp in the western city of Tulkarm, it added.

Meanwhile, the armed wing of Hamas, the al Qassam Brigades, claimed a 19-year-old hostage had been killed in Israeli air strikes.
