Israeli and Hamas officials agreed to extend their ceasefire by one day, just minutes before it was set to expire. A round of hostage exchanges is expected to take place later today. World leaders are calling on both sides to work towards a longer truce as the death tolls on both sides continue to rise.

Gunmen opened fire in Jerusalem this morning, killing three people. It is not clear at this time if the shooters were affiliated with Hamas.

Embattled Republican Congressman George Santos is set to make a statement on the Capitol steps this morning, one day ahead of a scheduled expulsion vote.
