Residents in Grindavik, Iceland are facing evacuation orders after a volcano erupted. The President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, said in a statement, 'a new volcanic eruption began in the early morning just north of Grindavik. The town had already been successfully evacuated overnight and no lives are in dangers, although infrastructure may be under threat.'" A crack opened near homes in the area, spreading lava across the area. The Icelandic Meteorological office said the eruption came after a swarm of earthquakes.
