Breaking: Iceland volcano erupts miles from nation's main airport

After nearly two months of seismic activity, the Reykjanes volcano in southwestern Iceland erupted Monday night. A nearby town was evacuated in early November when the seismic activity began and now residents fear they will have no homes when they return.

The United Nations Security Council set to vote this morning on a resolution calling for at least a temporary end to hostilities in Gaza. Israeli soldiers continue their offensive in the Palestinian territory, raiding another hospital in Northern Gaza this morning.
