Treasure Island is among the barrier islands along the Gulf Coast of Florida that are under a mandatory evacuation ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Idalia, expected to strengthen into a Category 3 major hurricane prior to landfall on Wednesday morning.

Treasure Island Mayor Tyler Payne joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to discuss the preparations on Tuesday, as Payne said the waters were almost coming over the sea walls hours before the storm's arrival.
