Hospitality industry in Wales facing challenges as business rate support reduced

The total amount the Welsh government is spending on business rates support for hospitality, retail and leisure businesses will go down this year.

The discount has been reduced from 75% to 40% in Wales, with financial aid mostly gone and costs still rising, many companies will be severely impacted.

In addition, the national living wage across the UK has been increased by more than £1 for the first time, from £10.42 to £11.44 an hour.
