Health Secretary Steve Barclay delivered the first address on day three of the Conservative Party conference.

He announced a pushback against "wokery" in the NHS, as well as new medical school places and a new fund to speed up tech adoption in the NHS.

He also said he will change the NHS constitution following a consultation this year "to make sure that we respect the privacy, dignity, and safety of all patients, recognise the importance of different biological needs and protect the rights of women".
