Gaza should be governed by an interim peacekeeping force and then handed over to Palestinians to govern, Israel's former prime minister Ehud Olmert has told Sky News.

Mr Olmert, who ruled Israel from 2006-2009, was sharing his vision for how the crisis might move on to the next stage once Israel's political campaign is over.
