Former UK Ambassador to the US Lord Kim Darroch says Donald Trump will "hate every second" of his trial and his lawyers will use the next few months to try to get the case dismissed or "try every delaying tactic they can".

Talking about Trump's public address in Florida, Lord Darroch says he "feeds off the energy of his supporters".

The former US President has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree in a Manhattan court. His next hearing is due to be held on 4 December.
