Daniel Penny has been indicted by a grand jury for his role in the death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway train.
Penny, a 24-year-old U.S. Marine veteran, said that he felt compelled to act after Neely allegedly verbally threatened other riders.
"The three main threats that he repeated over and over was: ‘I'm going to kill you; I'm prepared to go to jail for life; and I'm willing to die," Penny said.
Penny's exact charges are unknown but he was arrested on second-degree manslaughter charges.
