The Covid Inquiry continues with Emma Reed (Director of Emergency Preparedness and Health Protection at DHSC) and Rosemary Gallagher MBE (Professional Lead Infection Prevention and Control at Royal College of Nursing) giving evidence this morning.

Plus, Dame Jenny Harries (Chief Exec of UKHSA and former Deputy CMO) will provide evidence this afternoon.

Separately, UCL research has revealed that the needs of young people were largely ignored due to their classification as a low-risk group. However, new research shows this had a negative impact on children and young people’s health and welfare.
