The government is pursuing a policy of expanding North Sea drilling, while also ramping up the provision of clean energy and insists its approach is compatible with the UK's legally enshrined net zero goals.

TV presenter Chris Packham joined Kay Burley to discuss a march he took part in organising to protest against the government's grant of new oil drilling licenses.

More than 100 scientists will be at the Parliament Square rally, where they will invite "elected representatives to chat about the truth about climate breakdown".
