Carlee Russell, the Alabama woman who faked her own 48-hour kidnapping, was booked into jail Friday on two misdemeanor charges.
Hoover police said Russell called 911 earlier this month to report she had stopped to help a toddler she found wandering along the interstate. Two days later, she returned home and said she had been kidnapping, forced into a truck and was able to escape.
Investigators released Russell's booking photo a short time after she surrendered to the jail.
Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to discuss the case.
