Carlee Russell was charged with two misdemeanor charges after her attorney revealed claims of a kidnapping were an elaborate hoax.

Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis said his department is currently working with the Alabama Attorney General’s office in investigating Russell’s actions during the 49 hours she was missing last month.

LiveNOW's Andrew Craft spoke with Chief Derzis, who said he believes Russell should face felony charges.
