Ukraine has given assurances to its western allies that they would not use weapons donated for their defence to attack Russia.

Prof Michael Clarke says that if Ukraine was behind recent drone attacks on buildings in Moscow, they are "sailing very close to the wind", of confirming Vladimir Putin's narrative that the West wants to destroy the Russian state.
