For Greg Batton, and many other Americans, the AM radio signal acts as a sort of lifeline. The rise of electric vehicles means that AM radio tuners could be removed due to them interfering with car batteries, but a bill requiring AM radios to remain in cars is garnering bipartisan support. Kris Van Cleave reports from Illinois.
