The Metropolitan Police says there is "no information to indicate that a criminal offence has been committed" over allegations against the BBC presenter - who has been named as Huw Edwards.

The veteran news anchor was named in a statement released by his wife which also said he was suffering from 'serious mental health issues'.

Now Huw Edwards finds himself the subject of some unwelcome headlines after being named as the broadcaster accused of paying a teenager £35,000 for explicit pictures.
