White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, are speaking to reporters on Monday after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel's war with Hamas and said he will not agree to a cease-fire. Kirby told "CBS Mornings" earlier in the day that Israel has the "extra burden of making sure that they're doing everything they can to protect innocent life" in the Palestinian territory.
