Alexei Navalny's funeral is being held at the Borisovskoye cemetery in Moscow after a farewell ceremony at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God in the Maryino district of the Russian capital where Navalny used to live.

Police have boosted numbers in Moscow’s southeast Maryino district, as there are expectations that thousands will come to bid farewell to Navalny.
