WATCH LIVE: Oceanside pier fire rages north of San Diego

Firefighters are working to put out a blaze on the historic Oceanside, California pier, which is about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego in Southern California. Early reports are that a vacant restaurant (which used to be a Ruby's diner) caught fire which has spread to the rest of the pier. Fire departments both via the beach and on the surf with fireboats are attempting to control the flames, as intense thick smoke bellows toward the coastline towns.
