The COP28 Summit has approved a deal on the transition away from fossil fuels.

Overnight, a new draft of a global deal to tackle fossil fuels was published by the UN's climate body. The new draft is a "sorely needed improvement" on tackling fossil fuels, WWF has said, after a previous version sparked outcry.

The proposals include accelerating efforts globally towards net zero emissions energy systems and transitioning away from fossil fuels in our energy systems.
