Missiles fired by Houthi rebels struck three commercial ships in the Red Sea.
A US warship shot down three drones in self-defense during the hourslong attack on Sunday. Houthis claimed two of the attacks. The strikes could mean a potential escalation after a number of maritime attacks in the Middle East, connecting to the Israel-Hamas war. “These attacks represent a direct threat to international commerce and maritime security. They have jeopardized the lives of international crews representing multiple countries around the world," U.S. Military's Central Command said.
