US President Joe Biden makes remarks on the government’s response to wildfires in Hawaii and Hurricane Idalia.

Idalia made landfall as a category three of five on the scale of hurricanes but had reached a category four offshore, meaning winds of around 130mph, and potentially up to 156mph.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled after Tampa International Airport suspended operations yesterday.
