Pittsburgh is home to the most deadly attack on Jewish people in America - a mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in October 2018.

The local Jewish communities responded to the threat of antisemitic violence by undertaking shooting survival training and stationing armed guards outside the synagogue.
