A member of the US Air Force who set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington DC has died as a result of his injuries.

The man, who was an airman on active duty, had doused himself in accelerant and set himself ablaze in an apparent act of protest over the Israel-Hamas war.

He had said he would "no longer be complicit in genocide", according to the AP news agency.
