With no obvious rivals within the Democratic Party, it seems likely that Joe Biden will run for a second term as President, potentially facing Donald Trump again.

Mr Biden would be 82 at the time of re-election and nearer 90 at the end of the second term - and has said that his running again would be "a family decision".
