In an interview with Sky's political editor Beth Rigby, the prime minister has given a "straightforward" message for Vladimir Putin at the G7 summit: "We're not going away."

Mr Sunak also said he was committed to reducing the UK figure for net migration to below 500,000 - as Tory MPs grow increasingly restless over the issue.

Net migration is the annual number of people arriving in the UK when both immigration and emigration are taken into account.
