UK 'not doing enough' to investigate UFO reports

The man who was in charge of investigating UFOs for the Ministry of Defence has told Sky News the government is not taking the threat of extra-terrestrial beings seriously enough.

Nick Pope examined UFOs in the 1990s for the UK military before the unit was disbanded.

He told Sky the US was treating UFOs as a "national security issue" and MPs in the UK should pressurise the government to do the same.

His warning came after a congressional hearing in the US on Wednesday heard testimony from intelligence and military whistleblowers who claimed America had retrieved alien spacecraft and "non-human biologic" pilots.
