UK air traffic failure: How much will glitch cost airlines?

Some 790 departures and 785 arrivals at UK airports were cancelled on Monday, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium, equalling one-third of all scheduled flights in and out of the country.

The air traffic glitch has been estimated to have cost airlines £100m, according to the head of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Willie Walsh.
