Well folks, we are now officially entering the second week of the Eugene Carroll assault trial against Donald J. Trump. But before we get into what could happen this week, we gotta talk about pretty much how Donald Trump's lawyer, Joe Taina, got his butt handed to him every day in the trial last week, and he got his butt handed to him, not necessarily by the plaintiffs, although they did a bang up job. They did everything, as I've said perfectly. But he got his butt handed to him by the judge himself, judge Lewis Kaplan, all throughout last week, repeatedly Daley had to admonish in one way or another, Joe Taina. And that doesn't even include, by the way, the horrible cross examination that Taina gave of Eugene Carroll herself. So let's start at the beginning, of course, right? That's where everything begins. Before the jury was even brought in, judge Kaplan had to remind Joe Taina and the rest of Trump's legal team, you are not allowed to incite violence.

You cannot do these things. You can't act like Donald Trump is acting. And by the way, he can't act like that either. So before they even brought the jury in for jury selection, the judge was already getting onto Trump's lawyers for basically telling, like, basically telling 'em like, don't be horrible human beings cuz I know you want to be. Then of course, actually, even before that, the judge had already smacked down multiple attempts by Taina to make the jury not anonymous, but then in Ta CAPA's own opening statement, the judge had to strike some of his remarks from the record in his cross-examination of Eugene Carroll. The judge had to repeatedly interrupt him to tell him that, Hey, you're being repetitive, you're being redundant, you're asking questions that are completely off topic. Basically, you're being a horrible lawyer. Can you please do what you're supposed to be doing here?

Oh, let's also not forget the exchange that the judge had with Ta Capina, basically warning him that if you can't shut up your client, I'm gonna hit 'em with contempt charges. So yeah, a very, very, very bad week according to every legal expert and former prosecutor that has looked at this for Joe Taina. And what's interesting about all of these criticisms of how horrible Taina is in this trial, all the articles point out that the legal scholars are saying, listen, Taina is a good lawyer. Like he's considered a bulldog. He's good at what he does. He just, for some reason, has been really, really bad ever since Donald Trump hired him. Record, he has handled high profile clients. He has won massive victories. He was a good lawyer with a great resume. So what the hell happened? Is Donald Trump just that bad of a human being that he Dr. And he is he is he that stupid that he drags down the skill level of everyone around him, because that's what it seems like. Again, Joe Taina years ago was going in the media as one of those legal experts. He was a well-respected individual, and here he is making like day one lawyer mistakes to the point where the judge had to get onto him every single day last week.

I guarantee you, and most legal scholars are already saying this too, that jury's probably already made up their minds. Now they're not supposed to. But given what they have seen from Taina, what some folks have even described as him, bullying Eugene Carroll during that cross examination, which by the way, he was so horrible, I'm not even gonna read you that, but if you wanna read it, the link is in the description if you wanna see the back and forth, it's truly gross. But it's his interactions, not with Carol, but with the judge himself that make me question the credentials of this man. And it makes the jury realize that, holy crap, this guy kind of sucks. And if they're already thinking that, then they've already made up their minds and that's not gonna end well for Donald Trump or for Joe Taco.
