Jerry Springer, the TV host whose brash talk show became cult viewing, has died at the age of 79.

From fights on set, to screaming matches and a man who married a horse, he presided over some of the wildest moments on daytime television.

Tributes have been paid from across the entertainment industry as our US correspondent Mark Stone reports.
