The UK Tonight with Sarah-Jane Mee: Family of a woman murdered by husband react to law change

On The UK Tonight with Sarah-Jane Mee the family of Jade Ward, who was stabbed and strangled by her estranged partner Russell Marsh in 2021 while their children were asleep, speak with Sarah-Jane and say they are "overjoyed" that parental rights laws are being changed in her name.

Parents who kill their partners will have any rights over their children automatically suspended while they serve time in prison under plans to be unveiled by the justice secretary.

The measures, which will come under a new proposed law called Jade's law, come in response to campaigning from Jade's family.
