Sudan: 'We are absolutely in the hands of the ceasefire'

Andrew Mitchell, the minister for Africa, has stated that the evacuation of Sudan is going "very smoothly" with 300 UK nationals having left the country on four flights.

He explained that they adopted the same route as the Germans, telling people they had to get themselves to the airport before they could be taken out

The evacuation is subject to the ceasefire, and Mr Mitchell has assured that they are doing everything possible to get British citizens out.
